Anti-Corrosion Cam Followers without Stud
The customer can chose between a stainless steel version, we use AISI 400, or a protected one in which cam followers without stud dispose of a treated surface. The hardness that our stainless steel solutions achieve is comparable to steel for bearings however, they have a limited resistance to corrosion. For inner needles we usually use 100Cr6 steel or stainless steel as well. In the first case the corrosion protection of the needle is ensured by the NSF H1 classified grease, that is resistant to humidity. While the greasing nipple comes in stainless steel or raw brass, nuts and washers are made of A2 Stainless steel.
Alternatively hard nickel or hard chrome treatments are available. Coordinated with the environment, the cam followers are going to be used in, different solutions can be configurated:
- NX-11: most common solution with outer parts in stainless steel, metal shields chromium-plated, standard bearing steel for inner needles or rollers
- NX-12: stainless steel outer ring, other outer parts nickel-plated, rollers and inner needles in standard bearing steel
- NX-17: full stainless steel
- NX-18: ideal product option for small batches, needles in standard bearing steel, components hard chromium-plated
