Cam followers and their characteristics

Our cam followers can meet high demands such as unusual conditions, heavy loads as well as strong and repeated shocks. This type of bearing is available in our range in different variants, all of which have these advantageous characteristics:

- Outer ring made of resistant and hardened rolling bearing steel (58 to 62 HRC).

- Grease can be easily renewed through the axle, as there is a lubrication hole for relubrication to the inner raceway

- To compensate for parallelism errors between roller and raceway, a profiled outer ring is provided or a cylindrical ring to reduce contact pressure with the sliding surface.

- To ensure maximum load carrying capacity, rolling or needle roller bearings with cage or full complement rollers

Generally cam followers with stud can be fitted with metal or plastic seals to retain grease. To adjust the preload during assembly, stud type cam followers can be equipped with an eccentric collar.
