CELEBRATING 70 YEARS - Chiavette Unificate

It is 1952 and RAI begins its television broadcasts, still at an experimental stage. In the same year, Elizabeth II is crowned Queen of the United Kingdom. Every year in history is full of events that characterise it.
For us at Chiavette Unificate this date has a very special significance as it represents the 70th anniversary of the establishment of our company. It was in 1952 that Claudio Salerno founded the company that still bears the name of the first product line it produced: the keyways.

The feather keys DIN 6665-6888 and UNI 6604- 6606, the keyways DIN 887 and UNI 6608 were the products with which a story that has lasted 70 years began. We like to think that it all began with a product that  ‘unites’. In mechanics, in fact, the keyway is a connecting element that allows the transmission of motion between two elements (shaft and hub). A small and simple mechanical element with an important role.

The rest of our history is a mixture of passion and innovation, not only in terms of products, but also in the development of modern, highperformance manufacturing systems.

During the 70s and 80s, the production of DIN 71752 clevises and DIN 71802 ball joints was implemented. In the 1990s, the first range of spherical plain bearings and rod ends was launched under the Tescubal® brand.
Then, in 2002, the company takes on the quality system according to the UNI EN ISO 9001 standard.

Since 2018 Chiavette Unificate has been part of the Nadella Group, an expert in all areas of industrial handling technology, with 8 specialised production plants, 14 main offices in Italy, Germany, France, the UK, Spain, the USA and China and a worldwide sales network.

We have achieved a great deal in this long company life. Special thanks go to all our employees, to our customers who have supported us and helped us to improve, with many of whom we have created a true partnership, and to our suppliers, whose support is always fundamental.
