Installation and Maintenance of Your Telescopic Rail

Telescopic rails from Nadella are relatively uncomplicated to install and require very little maintenance. Nevertheless, a few tips should be followed to ensure proper function and long life of your telescopic slides.

Lubrication and maintenance:

While telescopic rails made of stainless steel or aluminum are delivered ungreased, our standard slides are shipped ready to install in a greased condition. To prevent friction and protect components, a visual inspection should be carried out from time to time, depending on the operating conditions. Dirt particles should be removed and "dry" guideways should be lightly relubricated with a rolling bearing grease. The relubrication period depends on several factors:

- Degree of dirt particles

- process conditions

- load

- operating temperature etc.

Due to the design, moving cages may occur, as the ball cages of the telescopic slides are not restrained guided. In this case, it is necessary to move them to the end positions in order to realign them.

Installation of telescopic slides

Our telescopic slides are almost free of play. Therefore, in order to guarantee proper functionality, they must be installed in an angular and parallel alignment.

The load utilization is optimized by using all mounting holes or mounting threads. Screws of at least skill class 8.8 should be used and tightened according to the specifications of the screw manufacturer.

If exact mounting surfaces are not possible for manufacturing reasons, the design adjustment possibilities for this should be created. Nadella guideways can also be equipped with increased bearing clearance under certain circumstances and can be mounted with a light stroke.
