Linear module AXNP-S

As a further development of our popular and proven AXN or AXNP-Z series with toothed belt drive, the AXNP-S of the BASIC Line offers several additional advantages. This unit was developed especially for handling and positioning tasks. The main focus here is on precise positioning and vertical applications. It can be used both in a multiple system in various combinations and as a single module. The AXNP-S has the following features:

• Protected against dirt: A cover band clipped into the profile prevents dirt particles from penetrating the product, as this band completely covers the axis at the top. This precaution is complemented by integrated wiper brushes in the table plate and an overlapping of the table plate.
• Engine connection: A flange or coupling combination is available for mounting many motor types. If it is technically possible, we can also plan a version for connecting special motors.
• Ball rail system: The AXNP-S series is supplied with a high-quality recirculating ball bearing guide. This has the advantage of a long service life. In addition, this equipment ensures a low noise level, high load values and a high guidance accuracy. In order to determine the dimensioning of the guide systems, the value of the dynamic load rating is decisive in the case of a dynamic alternating load.
• High attachment flexibility: The AXNP-S offers various options for fixation of the actuator and for attachments. There are end-to-end slots on the sides and axle bases. These enable universal attachment and installation. Fastening strips and connecting plates as well as slot nuts that can be swiveled in to increase the attachment flexibility. The threads in the table plates allow for easy assembly. If an alternative is required, our Basic-Line models can also be equipped with a carriage without drive.
• Ball screw: Thanks to the hard whirling technology used, our linear axes achieve a very high surface quality because they are equipped with high-precision and whirled ball screws. The spindles used are in the accuracy range of 23 µm / 300 mm (IT5). In order to realize higher processing speeds, especially with long strokes, spindle supports can be installed as an option.
• Maintenance: While the bearings of the ball screw itself are maintenance-free, the rail guide and the ball screw can be relubricated without any problems. This is possible because they have separate lubricating nipples on the carriage that are accessible from the outside. This is a great advantage, especially when used with high running performance and/or high acceleration values. For short-stroke applications that are smaller than half the carriage, our application engineering department will be pleased to help you. Simply contact us via our CONTACT section.
