Nadella motion technology as an efficient solution in press construction

Withstanding enormous loads is a fundamental requirement for the components used in some industries and areas of application. This characteristic is particularly important for press construction. With products from our heavy-duty series "Heavy-Line", we were able to find the suitable solution for the construction of trimming  presses of the company ABK Pressenbau GmbH.

When it comes to trimming, customers usually want time saving and reliable presses. In addition, the components used in the press have some additional requirements to meet:

- insensitive to contamination

- contribute to low sliding resistance and low pick-up torques in order to reduce energy costs

 

ABK Pressenbau GmbH manufactures various versatile presses such as sliding tilting table presses, C-frame deburring presses, spotting presses or special presses and special systems. In order to have advantages over competitors and thus better chances on the market, the deburring presses should have components that meet the requirements in the best possible way. For example, a pressing power of 200 tonnes must be absorbed without damaging the components. In addition, it was important to the manufacturer that a lower energy consumption and the possibility of longer service live could be realised. Also a general cost saving as well as an easy assembly of the individual components was essential.

The products of our Heavy-Line are an idealsolution for such applications, because the carriages and guide rails of this series are designed especially for robust applications with extreme loads. A weight of up to 20 tonnes can be held and moved per carriage. Since a gap of 20 mm is necessary in this application to realise the tilting movement, the sliding table has to overcome this gap with the help of the guide, which was implemented with the Nadella guide rail. The application in the heavy-duty range, as is the case with trimming presses, is easily possible with these components. Apart from that, they perform well under high cycle frequency and in environments exposed to dust or abrasion.

The successful use of our motion technology we were able to meet the customer requirements. Thanks to our extensive range, a wide variety of requirements for numerous industries can be met.
